1. Training programme for SHG members:

The programme promoted by NABARD training was provided to promote and credit link to 150 SHGs at Malavalli and Madduru, Mandya District. This project help SHGs. help mobilised target group, organise awareness generation camps and to form Self Help Groups. Programme helped the group plan weekly meetings, promote saving habits cooperation among the members, participate in village development programme, and solve internal problems without external helps.

2. SWASHAKTHI:

The programme promoted by Karnataka State Women Development Corporation was to strengthen the economic development of women and create in environment for social change. This programme was conducted in Yalburga and Ganagavathi Taluks of Koppal Distict, Benifiting more than 100 SHGs. Programme helped the group plan weekly meetings, promote saving habits cooperation among the members, participate in village development programme, solve internal problems without external helps. Cluster level association was encourage which help leader ship qualities among the representatives of respective SHG’s get help by needed. This project helps building community halls within the villages.

3. Reproductive Child Health [RCH] Programme:

During Jan 2001 VIKASA started focusing on RCH. Programme was to create awareness about women health, mother and child health. Nutrition, immunization, health, hygiene maintenance of neatness, precautionary measure before pregnancy.
This programme benefitted about 70 members from Bheemanahalli village and chikka mulgud village. The programme was conducted by Dr Nagendra Rao and Dr Sudarshan Who explain keeping good health meaning economically, mentally, socially, physically feeling well. Free health checkups were conducted at Bandur village of Kittanhalli cluster and aladahalli of malavalli clusteres.

4. Special Women Group Programme:

Programme promoted by CAPART [Council for Advancement of Peoples Action and Rural Technology] for women in Channapattana Taluk, help mobilised target group, organise awareness generation camps and to form Self Help Groups. The beneficiaries of this project was 10 villages of Channapattana block.
397 members participated during the camp along with Gram Sevak’s officares, Block Level officers and district Level officers. Awareness was created through cultural events, Mass media, Mela’s/events, Jathas. Empowerment through issue based discussions-gender issues, decision making leadership and child development.

5. Integrated Women and child Development Project:

Funded by SKIP Switzerland, This project was on eradication of child labour for upliftment of rural poor women. The project was covered for 450 village in Mandya district and 15 villages in Channapatna Taluk Bangalore Rural district. 315 children were benifited through supplementary education programme.
97 SHG’s were promoted and the women SHG’s are working towards protection of women rights insuring the right of children, prevention of social events. 162 adolescent girls and youths were trained in making agharabathi, Tailaouring, computer, toy making and two wheeler repairs.
